Best Granola Ever

Updated: Mar 28, 2021

If you don’t like granola that’s because you have never tried this granola! It’s easy to make, it’s crunchy, nutty, fruity and it goes well with a bunch of different breakfast stuff. You can top your overnight oats, smoothie bowl, chia pudding, yogurt, pancakes, you name it, if you add this granola it will make it the tastiest breakfast!

You can chose to do this recipe and bake it in the oven. I particularly like to make it on the frying pan because it’s a lot more practical and less time consuming. I also get to mix all the ingredients in the pan itself so that saves you extra dishes to do!

WHAT YOU NEED

3 tbsp coconut oil

2 cups oats

1/2 cup seeds*

1/2 cup nuts**

1/2 cup dried coconut flakes

1 tsp cinnamon

1 pinch sea salt

3 tbsp honey or something alike

1 orange zest

1/2 cup raisins or any dried fruit you like

*I use a mix of sunflower & pumpkin seeds but you can use what you have

** I normally mix almonds, hazelnuts & peanuts but you can use what you like

HOW TO

Grab a non stick frying pan, put it on low heat and first melt the coconut oil. I have listed the ingredients in the order I normally put them in. So start with the oats and mix it in the oil to coat well. Then add all the other ingredients: seeds, nuts, coconut flakes, cinnamon, sea salt, honey and orange zest. Keep stirring every now and then so the bottom doesn’t burn and you cook everything evenly. I would say about 5 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool first, when its completely cool it will become super crunchy and you get these nice chunks throughout the granola. For last, add the dried fruit if you like it, otherwise just skip this step. Enjoy!
