"I'm so grateful I got the chance to do this! It was so intense in a good way... I really think this could be the start, or an important milestone, to the journey to myself. The work on the body was just as important as the work we did on the mind. The combination of both was perfect. I thank you deeply from my heart for this week!"- Lena, Germany
Main Teacher
Karol’s journey in holistic therapies started very early in life, from more or less the age of eight her father taught her different breathing and meditation techniques, spoke about things like dealing with negative emotions, awareness and being in the present; all in a very fun and relatable way for a child.
At the age of sixteen (2004) Karol started her Yoga practice in her hometown in south Brazil. Later on Karol moved to Australia to get her Bachelor University Degree in International Business and a few years later she decided to quit her work and follow her passion for Yoga. Karol has visited India twice for long seasons to study Hatha, Vinyasa Yoga, Yoga Therapy and Meditation. But she didn't stop threre, her curiosity for all things related to spirituality and the human subconscious mind took her to study Neurolinguistics Programming (NLP) and more recently she's been dedicating herself to studying other tools for self awareness and personal development.
Karol has been teaching yoga, running and directing her own Yoga & Personal Development retreats in Europe and around the world since 2017. Karol teaches the art of creative and intuitive Vinyasa Flow, Pranyama, Yoga Alignment and also incorporates other tools to Personal Development to her retreat experiences; like journaling, breath work sessions, dynamic workshops in Nlp and more.
After years travelling and teaching around the world Karol has settled in a small coastal town in Portugal where the retreat will take place. Besides being a dedicated Yoga teacher she's also an enthusiastic vegan food chef, a passionate surfer, world traveller and nature lover.
What to expect from this Retreat?
This is NOT just another Yoga Retreat.
With every retreat I create, I like to bring along tools for self-discovery, personal development and self-transformation.
This retreat is an invitation to everyone wanting to liberate themselves from routine, work pressure or simply want to have the chance to deepen the connection with themselves. We all feel the pressure of obligations in life and often we don't have time to put in the self work we all need. As a result, we are often feeling disconnected, exhausted and with little or no direction to go in life, even though we feel unhappy with our current situation.
During this retreat we will be exploring Yoga classes, meditation, journalling exercises and breathwork in order to deepen self-awareness and connection with who we really are. Also another great way to do this is through the awakening of our inner compass, or what we commonly call our intuition. Creative processes are a great way to do that, in that way our painting and pottery workshops are much more than just a fun activity to do, but guided in a way that takes us closer to ourselves. During the ecstatic dance, we have the chance to encompass movement and intuition into one, with the rhythm of music that moves us from inside out we are invited to explore our own form of expression. All of this in a idyllic setting of our 14th century old ruins. And least but not last, a guided deep relaxation by the live sounds of percussion and didgeridoo in our night "trip to the jungle".
This retreat promises to be a real journey within yourself, through the exploration of creativity, breath and movement.
Creative expression is the ability to use our minds and imaginations to create something that represents ourselves. There are countless ways to express ourselves creatively, whether through music, visual art, crafting, writing, photography, drama, or movement. People of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life benefit from the creative process. Creativity helps us relate to each other, address obstacles and challenges in our lives, and even remember how to play! As adults we become so serious and focused on our obligations and duties. It can be difficult to authentically express who we are, but creative expression helps us open to new possibilities.
Most importantly, creative expression can lead us to a deeper understanding of ourselves. Creative expression is, “the language that lives in the heart and the spirit. It’s the language that emerges when you find the safety to really listen to your heart.” - Cathy Salser, Founder and Executive Director of A Window Between Worlds

"I initially came to the retreat to improve my Yoga skills and alignment. But I found out about this whole inner layer of the Yoga experience. I was new to breathwork & meditation and Karol guided me so well into this. Overall I'm grateful I could experience this!"-
Bram, Belgium
Breathwork
For many years I have learned different yoga techniques on breathing (pranayama) as a practice you would do for a few minutes before or after each Yoga class. Although this provided me with a handy tool for self-regulation of my emotions, stress and anxiety in my daily life, it did not bring me the transformation I was looking for.
Not until many years later I first came in contact with much deeper breathwork techniques with the purpose of taking you to different states of consciousness, releasing emotional trauma and moving stuck energy inside your body. These one hour sessions are a journey in itself and promise to be an introduction into a whole new experience of breathing techniques.
